Since 2016, Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters (KSBBBS) has partnered with DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers and KAKE-TV to give community members a chance to win a great prize while supporting one-to-one mentoring. For many years, the grand prize was a Ford truck or a Jeep.
In 2020, the grand prize was $25,000 in cash. Raffle ticket purchasers also had a chance to win four other great prizes. With only 5,000 tickets available across the state of Kansas, the chances of winning a prize was BIG. Tickets became available to purchase on December 1st.
Ticket sales ended on December 18th at 11:59 PM CST and the winners were announced on Monday, December 21st during the 4pm newscast on KAKE-TV and WIBW-TV. The drawing for the all the winners was computer-generated by random selection.
The 2020 Cash for Kids’ Sake winners are:
$25,000--Cynthia Eichman of Plainville, KS
Andy Grammer Concert--Andrea Harper of Wichita, KS
Frame TV--Tom Hren of Topeka, KS
Cooker and Cargill meat--Eric Young of Andover, KS
$1,000 Amazon gift card--Jerry Brungardt of Victoria, KS
However, the real winners are the youth of Kansas, because Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters raised over $150,000 through this raffle to provide caring, consistent mentoring to kids facing adverse conditions all across our state.
